Immanuel Lutheran School Parent Teacher League
What is the PTL?
Immanuel Lutheran School’s Parent Teacher League (PTL) consists of a group of parents who in conjunction with the principal and teachers. Together they put together an annual program of events for the students designed to expand and enrich their education here at Immanuel Lutheran School. The PTL sponsors all of the school assemblies.
Some or our past assemblies were Abe Lincoln, Body Works, “Lights, Camera, Action”, Books Alive, Smart Discipline (for parents) and the Secret Garden.
The PTL also hosts many special events throughout the year that foster school spirit and allow students and their parents to socialize outside of the classroom. These events include the:

Parents can join the PTL by attending a meeting, held at the school at 6:30 p.m.
Babysitting is always provided, and no reservations are necessary.
The PTL relies on Family Activity Donations to fund all of the above events. The suggested Family Activity Donation (which is fully tax-deductible) is $100 per family with students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, and $75 per family with preschoolers only.
Tuesday, February 14, during lunch
Valentines Day Sundaes- Valentines Day Sundaes takes place during
lunch time. After the students eat lunch they can go up to tables
and create their own sundae. We need volunteers to help with set
up and clean up.
Dinner Night Out and Chuck E Cheese:
Come and have a good time at Chuck E Cheese in Danbury. Chucke Cheese gives back a portion of all sales to ILS.

Come and discuss the PTL events and give us your input and ideas we LOVE them! Childcare is provided.
Wednesday, March 14, Grandparents Tea
This is a new event to the PTL calendar. Grandparents are invited to the school to
have breakfast and attend chapel with thier Grandchildren.
Baked goods are needed as well as set up and clean up.
Friday, March 23rd 6:30-11:30pm
Silent Auction/Auction & Dinner Dance Featuring the Clark Eno Orchestra
The PTL’s auction is going to be held at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel, CT.
The PTL needs donated items to auction off, things we had in the past have been gift baskets,
dinner out, trial gym memberships, hot air balloon rides and Pampered Chef.
The PTL donates Pizza for One Lucky Class Pizza Day.
Mr. Palkewick even donated Wii with Mr. P and a pizza lunch.
Some teachers donate an evening of BABYSITTING with no homework of course..

Spring Social- Spring Social is on a Friday night in the beginning of
spring. We have a D.J. and the children dance, play games and do
crafts. We need volunteers to help with set up, clean up and to help
with games and crafts. Also baked goods and drink donations.

Muffins with Mom- Muffins with Mom is an event where you are invited to come to have breakfast with your child. After which we encourage you to join us for a special chapel service. If Mom can't make it an Aunt, Grandma or someone special will have a great time too. Muffins,Bagels,breads and fruits is served along with coffee,tea and juice. We need help with setting up, cleaning up and donated items.

Teacher Appreciation- Teacher Appreciation is when we show how much
we appreciate everything our teachers and staff do throughout the school year.
We need volunteers to donated baked goods,and desserts.

Wednesday, May 16, Volunteer Luncheon 1:30pm
Volunteers are appreciated at this luncheon. Special dishes are made (with love) by the teachers,staff and PTL officers.
Monday, June 1, (Rain Date June 4)
ILS Field Day
Field Day is a day when all the students from our school get to have
FUN! They go outdoors, are divided into teams they play games and
picnic outdoors. We need volunteers to help with set up, clean up , man games
and donated baked goods.
Wednesday, June 6, 7:45 am Honor Roll Breakfast
The honor roll students are rewarded with trophies and a breakfast the they can share
with their family. The students trophies are presented by thier teacher and Mr. Palkewick
our principal.
