What is the PTL?

Immanuel Lutheran School’s Parent Teacher League (PTL) consists of parents and teachers who put together an annual program of events for the students designed to expand and enrich their education. The PTL sponsors all of the school assemblies. Some or our past assemblies were Abe Lincoln, Body Works, “Lights, Camera, Action”, and the Secret Garden.
The PTL also hosts many special events throughout the year that foster school spirit and allow students and their parents to socialize outside of the classroom. These events include the:

  • Family Costume Social

  • Thanksgiving Feast

  • Silent Auction/Christmas Party

  • Spring Social

  • Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day Luncheon

  • Honor Roll Breakfast

  • End-of-Year Fun Day

  • Movie nights

  • Family Game nights

  • Muffins with Mom & Donuts with Dad

  • The Kris Kringle Shop

  • Teacher Appreciation Day


Other programs sponsored by the PTL include giving out Valentine’s Day sundaes to the students, and purchasing special T-shirts for students who complete the DARE program. Parents can join the PTL by attending a meeting, held at the school at 7 p.m. Babysitting is always provided, and no reservations are necessary.
The PTL relies solely on Family Activity Donations to fund all of the above events. The suggested Family Activity Donation (which is fully tax-deductible) is $100 per family with students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, and $50 per family with preschoolers only.

**Just a reminder that the PTL has a special event planned for Tuesday, May 17th at 7:00 p.m.. Are your kids picky eaters? Do your children avoid vegetables? Need new lunch ideas? Suggestions for healthy family dinners? Join us upstairs in the 5th grade classroom as Dr. Ivel DeFreitas gives us some answers. Please see the attached for more information.**
